Welcome to New Horizons!  A ministry for the 50+ crowd at Mount Calvary Church. As we get closer to being empty nesters and retirement, we are entering a new season with new experiences on the horizon. 

Join us the third Wednesday of every month (Sept - May) for a time of encouragement, food, and fellowship starting at 10:30AM  at the Ministry Center (45 Veterans Drive Elizabethtown) 

Doors open at 10:00AM for fellowship.


Lunch will be served ($5 recommended payment



American Music Theater

2024 Christmas Show

Join us on Thursday December 12, 2024 for a trip to the American Music Theater. We will be seeing the 10:30 AM performance of their 2024 Christmas Show, Joy to the World.


Meet at the Ministry Center at 9:15 AM to car pool or at the theater at 10:00 AM to meet up with the group and get your ticket. The cost is $43 until October 20 and changes to $45 after October 20. The last day to register is November 10.


Following the show, we will head to Gus's in Mount Joy for lunch. (Each person will be responsible for their own check.)

Here are some of our upcoming programs. 

Dress a girl around the world

On January 15, 2025 we will hear from Renita Yahara as she shares about a ministry she runs called "Dress a Girl Around the World. The purpose of this ministry is to deliver hope, dolls, and dresses to girls around the world who are in need or at risk for human trafficking.

The Gathering Place

Join us for a New Horizons Outing to enjoy lunch at The Gathering Place in Mount Joy.


Vans will be available at the Ministry Center at 11:15 to ride together or meet at the Gathering Place (6 Pine St. Mount Joy) at Noon.

Join us on March 19, 2025 as we hear from Fran Strouse. He will be sharing about the Minor League Baseball Team that was sponsored by Klein Chocolate in the area from 1919-1932.
