If we want to grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ, there are certain biblical practices that can help. We've focused in on what we believe to be the seven most important habits in the life of a disciple.
The Discipleship Journey
The habits of a disciple
-
Study the bible
I am in the Word of God daily as it provides for me spiritual insight, encouragement, direction, and conviction.

-
Pray continually
I make it a practice to pray throughout my day for myself and others.

-
Fast occasionally
I occasionally make it a practice to refrain from things I depend on so that I can learn reliance on Christ.
As a church, we encourage a church-wide fast during Lent.
-
worship together
I am committed to regularly sit under the preaching of God and worship.
-
connect in community
I have friends in my life that know and care for me.
-
confess sin
I have friends in my life that are a safe place for me to share my sin and hold me accountable.
-
serve others
I am using my gifts to serve the church.
