Volunteer Opportunities

It is a privilege to be able to use our gifts, talents, and abilities to serve God.

Check back for additional opportunities to serve.

  • MCC Care team

There are several different opportunities for you to care for others within our church and community.

  • Welcome Team volunteers

Current needs listed below.  Please contact Pastor Ray for more information.

    • Kids Check In: Serve once a month during 1st Sundays by greeting people as they check in their children.
    • New Here Table: Serve once a month during 1st, 2nd, or 5th  Sunday by welcoming first time guests, assisting them with the registration process, getting to know them through friendly conversation, answering any children's ministry questions, and escorting them to the appropriate class rooms.
    • Greeter: Greet people in the lobby or sanctuary and make them feel welcome.
    • Bulletins: Distribute bulletins on the 5th Sunday of the month as people enter the auditorium.
  • mcc kids ministry volunteers

There are many opportunities to volunteer in MCC Kids Ministry on a Sunday morning.

    • The Woodlands (birth - kindergarten): Caring for kids in age-specific classes. Our babies get lots of snuggles while our preschoolers and kindergarteners enjoy Bible story time, activities, and worship.
    • Fusion & Fusion+ (1st - 5th grade): Discipling kids through large group Bible teaching and activities, as well as small group discussion time.
    • Transformation Team: Roll up your sleeves! We need helpers to convert our classrooms on Sunday mornings so our kids have dedicated spaces where they can worship and grow in their faith. This entails moving furniture, chairs, bins, etc before and after our services on Sunday mornings.

To start the process to serve on a Sunday morning with kids, please fill out the volunteer application. To help with MCC Kids Transition Team (set-up or tear-down) on a Sunday morning, please contact MCC Kids Ministry Staff.

  • Community Groups Volunteers

We are looking at starting up to five new community groups, but we need hosts and leaders. If you are interested in opening your home to a community group or you are interested in leading the discussion and prayer time, contact Pastor Ray.

  • Discover MCC

Discover MCC is part of our membership process. We serve a lunch and have childcare for these classes. For more information, contact Pastor Ray.

    • Childcare: We need two adult volunteers to help watch the children after lunch until about 2:30 in the gymnasium. Lunch will be provided. You will need clearances on file with the church in order to serve in this area (see below).
    • Hospitality: We need individuals to help serve food and others to help decorate  the tables to make a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Volunteer Clearances

Mount Calvary Church requires clearances for all volunteers who serve with children and students. Click the link for more information.
